You may have never heard of this but you’ve most definitely seen it. Ephemeral content speaks directly to our short attention spans. Typically seen as an Instagram or Facebook story, but can also include live streams, and product demo. It’s available to view for only a short amount of time, usually 24 hours. Followers are aware of this and it feeds into the desire to be constantly in the know. Posting stories regularly is a great way to keep your audience connected and entertained. We’ve seen the rise in video content over the years, but it has become increasingly more important during 2020.
